The Allen & Heath SQ6+ is a compact professional digital mixing console designed for demanding live sound, AV, conference, broadcast and production environments. Built around Allen & Heath’s 96 kHz XCVI core, the SQ6+ offers 48 inputs to mix, 44 buses and a hands-on control surface that suits both front-of-house and monitor applications.
With 25 motorised faders, 16 assignable SoftKeys and 4 SoftRotaries, the SQ6+ gives engineers fast access to key mix functions during complex shows. The 9” touchscreen with dark GUI supports clear navigation, while the channel strip layers allow flexible control over inputs, mixes, DCAs, FX returns and routing.
The mixer includes 24 XLR mic/line inputs, 14 XLR outputs, stereo line inputs, talkback input, stereo headphone output and AES3 stereo digital output. It also features a 128×128 Intelligent SLink port for Allen & Heath I/O expansion and an I/O card slot for Dante.
For recording, playback and virtual soundcheck, the SQ6+ offers a 32×32 USB-B audio interface at 96 kHz or 48 kHz. The integrated SQ-Drive USB-A port supports direct recording and playback up to 16 channels at 96 kHz or 32 channels at 48 kHz.
The SQ6+ also includes 8 RackExtra FX engines and 4 RackUltra FX engines with dedicated sends and returns. Each input channel includes processing such as HPF, gate, insert, 4-band parametric EQ with RTA and compression, while mixes include EQ and compression tools for precise system control.
